Project Description
StormyLee Salon & Spa was looking for a brand new website to showcase their a amazing local salon and spa. We picked a new template from a credible highly rated company that will be around for a long time. For this project I created a staging site in WordPress to allow the new site to be built while the old one was still live. In addition to a new website design and template, I configured the back end and security, integrated Google Analytics, and converted 6 existing pages within the new template. I also integrated their 3rd party online booking software.
They were also interested in getting their SEO rankings up higher in the Salon category for local search. I did an audit of their current site and put together an SEO plan that included increasing the text to html ratio, adding headings, alt tags to all images, page titles and meta descriptions, a sitemap, robots.txt, and image compression.
And finally I set up Google Webmaster tools for back end control within Google and seamless submission of sitemap to Google index, country control, primary domain selection, and robot.txt.
